Members of the Parnassus party, who started a strike in the office of the head of the Novosibirsk Regional Electoral Committee, were detained.
The police threatened them several times with administrative article 19.3 (disobeying the lawful demands of police officers) and gave 5 minutes for the strikers to leave on their own.
When time ran out and the office was filled with employees, the head of the election headquarters of the Democratic Coalition, Leonid Volkov, said that since they were left with no choice, they would leave the office. Then the officers took all the candidates and lawyers out the back exit, right into a parked paddy wagon.
Nine participants in the Parnassus campaign in Novosibirsk, including head Volkov and candidates Yegor Savin and Sergei Boyko said earlier today in response to the refusal to register signatures that they would not leave the office of the head of the election commission. They are convinced that the refusal is illegal, quality signatures are invalidated, and the commission did not consider all their complaints
