Gogol-Center was left without a director

From Monday, July 27, the duties of the Director of the Moscow Theater "Gogol-Center" are performed by his artistic director Kirill Serebrennikov. The former director, Anastasia Golub, filed a care.

According to the Moscow Agency with reference to the Gogol Center preservation, the application was submitted on Friday, July 24.

The press service noted that Golub did not explain about the reason for her decision to leave the post of director. Alexander Kibovsky will consider new candidates for this position as the head of the Moscow Culture Department on the Council of Directors of theaters.

The producer and TV presenter Anastasia Golub was appointed director of Gogol Center in early March 2015 instead of Alexei Malobrodsky. He held this position since the opening of the Gogol Center in February 2013 and was dismissed following the audit, which was held in the theater at the end of 2014.
