
The Russian authorities do not allow the mother of Alexander Alexandrov - a sergeant of the special forces of the GRU, who was captured in Ukraine - to go to Kyiv to meet with his son. This is stated on the Twitter of the SBU.
Meanwhile, adviser to the head of the special services, Yuri Tandit, said that the trial of Alexandrov, as well as captain with him captain Evgeny Erofeev, is planned for September.
On the eve of Gazeta.ru, she placed an article in which, with reference to sources in Russian law enforcement agencies, it was stated that Kyiv exchanged Erofeev and Alexandrov for Ukrainian military personnel who were captured by the militants of the DPR and the LPR.
However, the SBU spokesman Elena Gitlyanskaya denied this information . “It is very strange that the Ukrainian media so actively picked up Russian fakes,” the official also noted.
Gitlyanskaya assured that the case would be brought to court. The task of Kyiv is to “show that the Russian military really is in Ukraine, they really fight on the side of the terrorists,” the SBU spokesman emphasized.
The special forces were captured on May 16 near the city of the happiness of the Luhansk region. The Russian Ministry of Defense still refuses to admit that at the time of arrival in Ukraine they remained in the actual service, and were captured during the fulfillment of a combat mission. Both special forces were captured by the wounded and after delivery to Kyiv transferred a number of operations.
Erofeev and Alexandrov is charged with terrorism. Meanwhile, both special forces insist on retraining the accusations : captain - espionage, sergeant - to "illegally crossing the state border in order to collect intelligence."
