On the night of July 1, 2015, Vladimir Alexandrovich Yadov died in the Moscow Region after a long illness at the 87th year of his life. They say that there are no indispensable people. This is not true, each person is indispensable. Who can be replaced by a departed friend, teacher? The departure of the leader of the Leningrad School of Sociology is really an irreparable loss for Russian sociology, for the sociological community, for his students, associates and friends. I would like to repeat the famous words of Vyazemsky to the death of A. S. Pushkin: " Our sun rolled ."

Vladimir Alexandrovich was a really bright, sunny man, with a sharp mind, a rich sense of humor. He was a friendly person, open to discussion, surprisingly democratic. I remember how at one of the collections of the sector that Yadov led (this was still opposite the Gostiny Dvor), the young graduate student exclaimed for some remark of the chef: “ Well, what kind of stupidity?” - “Well, why stupidity? " - asked Yadov. The graduate student explained his position to which Vladimir Alexandrovich reacted in a purely poison manner: “Reasonably. We will think further together. ”

In this episode he is all.

Also a long -standing episode. At one time I got carried away with knitting and knitted everywhere, including at meetings, at conferences. Once I was late for a meeting of the sector. I’m entering, I'm sorry for being late. Yadov says to me: “Yes, sit down already, he punished himself: already, I suppose, he would have tied it in full, or what are you knitting there now?”

I recall one more case. Then the program of the study “Self -regulation and forecasting of the social behavior of the individual” was developed, the presentation and discussion of one of the first options for this program took place on the sports base of the University of Tartu in Kaerik. Naturally, there were many critics. But when one of the employees and co -authors of the project began to “make excuses”, the poisons rather sharply stopped this attempt: “Vera, for the sake of criticism we came here. Write down everything that they say, it will be very useful to us. ” This reaction seemed to me strange, seemingly unusual poison, but in it he is also all.

A sharp mind, a quick reaction, interest in everything that is happening around, has always been inherent in him ... at one of the symposia of the “Way of Russia” both at a plenary meeting, and at the sectional Vladimir Alexandrovich was very active. In the middle of the report, he could ask the speaker a question or insert a replica. I do not remember the case that someone was offended by him or got angry. He was goodbye to him. Including because it never had a goal to somehow wound the speaker, to confuse him. It has always been a lively and accurate reaction.

Now I'll be back to the beginning. Of course, Vladimir Alexandrovich Yadov is a completely indispensable person and we will really miss him as a teacher, and as a wonderful person, and as a reliable friend. This is truly an irreparable loss. In our memoirs, he will always be alive.
