The head of the Parnassus election headquarters in Kostroma Andrei Pivovarov was sent to the pre -trial detention center

The Sverdlovsk District Court of Kostroma sent to the pre -trial detention center for two months the head of the local election headquarters of Parnassus Andrei Pivovarov, suspected of unlawful access to computer information. The judge heeded the arguments of the investigator that Pivovarov could hide, put pressure on witnesses and prevent the investigation of the case.

According to Twitter, a member of the headquarters Polina Nemirovskaya, the judge at the meeting announced a certificate from the district police officer, which states that Pivovarov was an “active participant in the radical movement Parnas” and “did not refuse destructive political views”. As a basis for the detention of Pivovarov, the investigator mentioned the presence of a passport with him. Pivovarov said that he did not plan to hide, and offered to introduce a passport to the case, but the court refused. Lawyer Svetlana Stefanishina said that Pivovarov’s detention was carried out illegally, since the court did not check his involvement in the crime. In addition, the investigation materials indicate the wrong time of detention, and a lawyer was not allowed to be detained late in the evening to Pivovarova, late in the evening. According to her, in unlawful access to computer information, one can only be accused if any material consequences have come. To resolve the issue of the occurrence of the consequences, an examination should be carried out. For Pivovarov, the deputy of the Duma Dmitry Gudkov and the chairman of the Moscow Helsinki group Lyudmila Alekseev were instructed. The defense also noted that Pivovarov’s dependent mother disabled. A woman who rented an apartment in Kostroma spoke at the trial, said that he was not against his house arrest.

Earlier, the same court sent for two months to the pre -trial detention center of the police officer Alexei Nikonorov, who promised to check the lists of voters. Nikonorov is suspected of abuse of authority, he pleaded guilty. The investigator does not exclude that Pivovarov will be consumed by complicity in exceeding official powers.
