A group of Italian deputies will visit Crimea after colleagues from France

The deputies of the Italian parliament, representing the Five Star movement, intend to visit Crimea after the French colleagues, a member of the Italian Deputies Committee on Foreign Affairs Manlio Di Di Stefano told Kommersant.

According to him, the visit of deputies is planned in early October. The number of delegation can be from eight to ten people, it will be headed by another member of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs Alessandro Di Battista. The source of the publication in the Italian parliament notes that the trip will be coordinated with Kiev, since deputies subsequently prohibit the entry into Ukraine.

As the interlocutor of the publication in the Italian delegation told Kommersant, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, Andrei Klimov, invited the deputies to visit Crimea. Parliamentarians want to "first -hand to find out about how people live in Crimea after the referendum of March 2014," the source of the publication explained.

The delegation may also include a senator from conservatives from the League of the North Sergio party.

Kommersant notes that the head of the political group of socialists in PACA and the Assembly speaker in Russia, Swiss deputy Andreas Gross, plans to make a visit to Crimea. In addition, he intends to organize a trip to the peninsula of an “impressive mission” of members of the parliaments of different countries of Europe in October-November.

The deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs from the Yobbik Party Marton Dyendeshi and the euro deputy from France Nadine Morano, who organized the group “For a new dialogue with Russia” from representatives of the French, Italian, British, German and Portuguese delegations in June, also told about their readiness to visit Crimea.

On July 23, a delegation of 10 deputies of both chambers of the French parliament arrived in Crimea. The deputies noted that during the trip they became convinced that on the peninsula "there was no occupation, there were no armed people." The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in turn, offered the SBU to ban the entrance to the country to French parliamentarians.
