Until September 14, applications for training at the Moscow Institute of Media, Architecture and Design "Strelka" are accepted. Students are waiting for an updated post -dye educational program: five months of intensivation with a module in the Higher School of Design of Harvard University and internships in leading companies working with the city.
The new Hybrid Urbanism program is based on three components of a hybrid approach to education at the Institute: Urban, Digital, Yourself (city, DJ, you yourself).
In addition to involving in work on city research, students will have the opportunity to study digital tools, without which the development of a modern city landscape is impossible. Particular attention will be paid to personal development.
“Strelka” is moving from the educational program to the educational system, ”says the director of the institute Varvara Melnikova. According to her, the Strelka experimental program can now be implemented outside the institute, but according to its methodology.
“5 years ago, when we started, there was no request for urbanism. The level of training of students who wanted to study the city demanded work with basic skills and knowledge, ”says Melnikova,“ now future students are already having the necessary knowledge and examination in the field of urbanism, so the program “Arrows” has become more complicated and more intense. In this form, she responds to a request from qualified specialists. ”
This year, the program provides 30 places for students from around the world. The educational program "Strelka" remains free, while students will still receive a scholarship of about 40 thousand rubles. The working language of the program is English.
The beginning of the educational program is scheduled for October 19, 2015 , the end - on April 12, 2016 .
