95 years ago, on July 30, 1920, the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR adopted a resolution "On the liquidation of relics on an all-Russian scale." It demanded "completely eliminate the barbaric relic of antiquity, which is the cult of the dead bodies." The opened relics were subject to confiscation. This made liturgical activity difficult, since every Orthodox church had a piece of the relics of some saint, sewn into an antimins (special board), without which it was impossible to celebrate the Divine Liturgy.
