The Ministry of Industry and Trade has developed a draft document equating the clock with technically complex goods, notifies the regulation.gov.ru portal. Changes relate to household watches - mechanical, electron -mechanical, electronic, pocket and wrist, reports "Vedomosti" . Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Viktor Yevtukhov, explained that the changes were made at the request of Russian watchmakers.
Today, a conflict situation has developed on the watch market, since before sale, the watch is a technically complex household product, the explanatory note says. But after the sale, the situation is changing: there are no hours in the list of technically complex goods.
The buyer has the right to “terminate the contract of sale for two years for two years with any, even insignificant deficiency,” the note reported. Also, there is no watch in the list of goods that are not to be returned, and the consumer can return the watch to the seller as a product of inadequate quality within two weeks after purchase.
Sellers suffer losses, and consumers often abuse their position, Yevtukhov noted. More often, the buyer asks not about repairing hours, but about terminating the contract of sale and return of money.
The Russian watch company Denissov supported this initiative, since the watch is an expensive product, and sometimes the buyer returns the watch because they are tired. Formally, such chronometers are in good condition, but the company has to either restore hours or sell with a discount.
