Pro-Russian activists detained a teenager in Simferopol for wearing Ukrainian symbols

Activists of the "People's Militia of Crimea", together with the police, on the morning of August 2, detained a teenager born in 1999 in a black T-shirt with a red trident at the Simferopol railway station, according to the website of the "People's Militia".

During a search, pro-Ukrainian leaflets were found on the young man. One of the ten leaflets published by the "People's Militia" depicts the symbols of the Azov battalion, recognized in Russia as extremist. The rest contain calls to support Ukraine or messages that Crimea is the territory of Ukraine. Nevertheless, all “Ukrainian propaganda” was confiscated from the teenager, the People’s Militia notes. Whether a T-shirt was also seized was not reported.

After the leaflets were seized, the teenager was released.
