The great -grandson of Nikita Khrushcheva Nina, who lives in the USA, wrote for QUARTZ a story about how she went to Red Square with Vladimir Putin insulting Vladimir Putin. The article is called “Here< What Happened When I Held Up a“ Putin is a dick “Sign in Red Square”, which can be translated as “This is what I was holding the Putin - ***“ on Red Square ”, but in reality everything was somewhat different.
Nina Khrushcheva claims that despite the fears of her friends and the position of many media, modern Russia is far from the totalitarian Soviet Union. She recalls how the old friend of her family in the 1930s, while still a child, accidentally defeated the bust of Joseph Stalin. His family crushed fragments of a bust in a mortar all night, turning them into dust to hide the “evidence”.
In June 2015, Nina Khrushcheva went to a rally arranged in Moscow in support of the Dynasty charity foundation. Seeing that too few people came there, she wondered if this was due to the fear of people or with their laziness. After that, Khrushcheva had a theory: "We must be afraid, but we are afraid more than we owe."
In order to check his theory, the day after the rally, the great -great -granddaughter Khrushchev attached a homemade poster with the text “Putin this Dick” (meaningless tracing paper from the English “Putin is a Dick”), went to the Red Square and stood up by the Kremlin wall.
According to Khrushcheva, no one dared to go with her to look at this socio-political experiment. Therefore, she asked for a photograph to take a photo (she does not show a picture). An instantly young and polite policeman approached the protesting.
- What does it mean? He asked.
“What is written,” Khrushcheva answered.
- So what? Leave here, ”the policeman began to lose patience.
- Why? I do not do anything bad, ”the experimenter retorted.
- Why is Putin written here? This is unlikely to be something good, ”he answered her.
After Nina Khrushcheva asked if the policeman would arrest her, he said “get out, woman”, checked her documents, recorded the name and spent it to the nearest metro. However, he did not see any connection with the protesting with Nikita Khrushchev.
Big Brother does not always follow us. And if millions, and not thousands, would make a big brother follow the anti -Putin protests. As Franklin Roosevelt said: “The only thing we must be afraid of is fear itself. Unreasonable, unreasonable horror that paralyzes the necessary efforts to turn the retreat on the offensive ”(English.).
