
Russian special forces will be suspected of unleashing an armed conflict
Detained in the Luhansk region, Russian soldiers Alexander Alexandrov and Evgeny Erofeev will be charged with a new charge under the article on the unleashing of an armed conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the chief military prosecutor Anatoly Matios on the air of "Channel 5" .
He noted that indictment against Russians will be sent to the court and he will be announced suspicion of unleashing a military conflict.
According to Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, “planning, preparation or unleashing of aggressive war or military conflict” provides for a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years.
Earlier, Alexandrov and Erofeev were charged with terrorism. The trial of the Russians is expected to be held in September.
Evgeny Erofeev and Alexander Alexandrov were detained by the Ukrainian military in the Donbass in mid -May. During interrogation, they said they were Russian military personnel from the GRU Togliatti brigade. The Russian Ministry of Defense denies this, claiming that they have nothing to do with the army, as they resigned in December.
