At a conference in Vladivostok, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Sergei Donskoy, hopes to discuss with the actress and defender of animals Pamela Anderson issues of preserving whales and white bears

The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, Sergei Donskoy, instructed to send an invitation to Russia to the conference as part of the Eastern Economic Forum to the Hollywood actress and animal defender.

At the meeting, which will be held in Vladivostok in September, Donskoy hopes to discuss with the actress the issues of preserving whales and white bears. The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources wrote about this on hisFacebook page. He noted that "the participation of people with world -famous world helps to draw attention to environmental problems and affects the pace of solving such problems."

As previously reported, the actress asked a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request not to let a ship from Iceland through the Final’s meat - varieties of whales through the northern sea. However, the Russian authorities said that they have no legal grounds for the detention of an Icelandic vessel.

Hunting for Finvals on the verge of disappearance has been banned since 1982. However, in 2006, Iceland unilaterally resumed commercial hunting for these animals.
