Two political parties-the RPR-Parnas and the party of the case-made accusations of unreasonably biased attitude towards their lists by employees of the Kostroma Oblazbirircom, official representatives of the parties report .
The election commission of the Kostroma region at meetings on July 29 and August 2 decided to send 100% of the signatures of voters from two political parties-the Republican Party of Russia-the Party of People’s Freedom (RPR-Parnas) and the Party of the case for verification at the Federal Migration Service of the Federal Migration Service, while decisions were adopted before these two parties have actually handed over lists to support their extension.
- The decision of the Kostroma election commission on the direction of 100% signatures in the FMS is illegal! Everyone should be checked the same, while other parties were not checked, ” said RPR-Parnas, Andrei Davydov , lawyer.
A similar statement was made by the activists of the party’s case, who on August 3 also submitted 3 009 voter signatures to the election in support of the nomination of the party list in the elections of deputies of the regional Duma.
“Before this on August 2, the election commission issued a resolution to send all 100% of the signatures of the party in the Kostroma region to the FMS of Russia in the Kostroma Region, thus casting doubt on the signatures that have not yet been submitted. It should be noted that in total 18 parties advanced, the signature sheets are handing over a large part, but only two parties have touched the check on the verification, ”the party said on the party’s official website.
Moreover, the statement notes that, reminding the election commission of Art. 39 of the Federal Law on the equality of all candidates, "the party of the case sent a corresponding proposal to verify 100% of the signatures of all other parties." At the same time, authorized representatives of the party of the case asked to seize folders with voter signatures to ensure the safety of data contained in their signature sheets in their original form before the meeting of the corresponding working group.
“However, despite the fact that this request does not contradict any of the norms of electoral legislation, the commission ignored and refused the party to sealed folders, referring to the fact that other election associations did not put forward such requests,” the report said.
Meanwhile, representatives of the RPR-Parnas said that in the case of a selective additional verification of individual parties, the law “On Political Parties” was violated, which prohibits state authorities and their officials intervene in the activities of parties. Since the FMS does not have the current database of passports, this poses the entire procedure for checking the signatures, which leads to a violation of voters and parties, ”the activists say.
