The head of the CEC of Mari El spoke about the "municipal filter"

Summing up the stage, which ended with the registration of candidates for the post of head of Mari El, the chairman of the Central Election Commission of the republic Nikolai Klementyev touched the theme of the “municipal filter”. In his opinion, if the parties, the competitors of United Russia, made efforts and put up their candidates in the representative bodies of the municipal authorities in the representatives of the municipal authorities, the situation could be different. In fact, it turned out that some rural meetings of deputies are entirely consisted of representatives of the “EP”, since their competitors could not nominate their supporters at the local level.

“As for my personal opinion, I think the“ municipal filter ”is not needed,” said the chairman of the CEC of Mari El.

However, the situation with the dominance of the representatives of the authorities in the United Russia are not so simple. It is enough to look at the party representation more noticeable than the rural assembly of deputies of the level. Representatives of the systemic opposition, the Communist Party and the LDPR, the two main in the Mari EL alternative “ER” of political forces can be counted on the fingers of the hand. The most “pluralistic” of the city assemblies of the republic, Yoshkar-Oolskoye, includes only two not United Russia-communist Dmitry Protasov and a member of the Fair Russia Andrei Zabolotsky . Scandalous information from the local elections, not reaching, however, to the courts, or - as Nikolai Klentiev, who does not recognize the courts of illegal, has previously stated this, allows us to conclude about a significant scale of falsification of voting results precisely at the local level. It was such a situation that led to the fact that the regional branch of the same “Just Russia” did not recognize the results of last year’s elections in Mari El - the very elections in which the scenario of the passage of the “municipal filter” by the current candidates in the heads of Mari El was determined.
