Apology

The Japanese are expecting from the United States apologies for the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Tens of thousands of peaceful people died, even more people died in terrible suffering from radiation illness in subsequent years.

We know little about the Pacific Front of World War II. Many will be surprised to learn that more people died in China than in the USSR - 35 - 40 million. The Japanese were monsters - bloodthirsty, ruthless, crazy. I was shocked by the picture of Shanghai by the Japanese - eyewitnesses say that there were tens of thousands of still living people on the streets, with a cooked liver. Yes, yes, friends, do not be surprised, one generation back, these refined lovely Japanese were cannibals - they ate the liver of a defeated enemy!

It was necessary to break the strong morale of such an enemy at all costs - it saved millions of lives. And, an atomic bomb causing terror is a fair instrument of retaliation.

And yet you can apologize. Before the current Japanese, who have realized and changed.

A good person on Paris Street, Tokyo, San Francisco apologizes even when he stepped on his foot.
