Let's figure out how social entrepreneurship brings money, what prevents this and what helps. What types of business will develop in the direction of social entrepreneurship in the near future, despite the crisis.
In order to understand how the financial model of social entrepreneurship works in Russia, we asked several questions to the leaders of several companies oriented to social entrepreneurship. They answered us:
Nadezhda Fedyaevskaya:
- The social component adds a unique advantage to the product, so such a product (or service) can be better sold, of course, if it is not inferior in quality to analogues. This is the same USP (unique trading offer), for which all manufacturers and sellers fight.
Between two similar chocolates, the buyer will rather choose the one that will give him an additional emotional bonus - The feeling that, having chosen chocolate with a charity component, he did a good deed.
Vyacheslav Makovich:
-The organization of the competition of business models Startup Cup helps to strengthen the fame and expertia of our brand, as well as to acquire new useful contacts, but this itself does not bring profit.
Olga Cherkashina:
- It does not help, pure charity and value installations on our part, that some things should be.
Nadezhda Fedyaevskaya:
- First of all, this is a legislative level: a clear definition of which business relates to the social, and the formation of preferential conditions for development for such a business - privileges in taxation and lending.
In a global sense, these are payable expenses, since such a business solves a number of problems that, otherwise, it would be necessary to solve the state by spending funds on this.
Vyacheslav Makovich:
-To begin with, it should become socially entrepreneurial, because at present there are a large number of individual social projects that clearly lack the entrepreneurial component, and individual entrepreneurial projects without any social orientation.
Nadezhda Fedyaevskaya:
- We have no benefits in taxation. Every year, along with all other animated studios, we submit an application to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for co -financing the production of animation, preferences in connection with the charity of our series, of course, there is no.
At the same time, we interact with city advertising location centers and periodically get free places for social advertising in the subway or on city shields.
Vyacheslav Makovich:
- We do not get help.
Olga Cherkashina:
- There are no subsidies and preferences from the state. There is a moral support from the industry in the form of letters of support and thanks for useful work.
Nadezhda Fedyaevskaya:
- Probably the development of small local businesses. This can be the production of charitable souvenirs or small cafes in which people with disabilities work .
Also, it seems that we can expect a greater spread of charitable second-house, as they have already demonstrated their success not only in the West, but also in our country.
Vyacheslav Makovich:
- Those who have sufficient resources and managers who are open and ready to focus on people.
