On June 19-20, 2015, Khakaton of City Applications K-Ulsk took place in Ulyanovsk. The best project of the jury was chosen “Inththispoint” - a geolocation social network with the display of current events of the city on the map. The winners, Alexey and Natalya Lunina, said that they would independently develop their project, and abandoned the finalization agreement of 60 thousand rubles. The greenhouse asked the winners how things were going.
- The idea is so simple that we are surprised why there is still no such service. You just open the site, and a map appears in front of you, on which you see current events in the city that you can visit in the near future.
No need to go to the search engine to look for an organization, a poster, a schedule, and then also make sure that the information is outdated! The Inthyispoint.com site was created in order to collect all the real events on the same map.
- Since we both systematically encountered difficulties in finding motors to taste, the dream service also imagined the dreams independently of each other. We saw him differently, but it was from discussions and brainstormers that they made something in common.
Initially, the idea to make a geoinformation service appeared in Alexei. But it was only a prototype of the idea you know. In December 2014, at the Hakaton Hackday #35 in Naberezhnye Chelny, Alexei Lunin presented Inthyispoint as a project for working with places on the map.
In the spring of 2015, Natalya Lunina made a number of proposals for transforming a project from a service for working with places to work with events, including individual initiatives of users and their friends. By connecting two approaches, we received the concept that we presented at Hakaton in June 2015.
- The main developer of the project is Alexey. It is he who chooses the tools for implementation and is fully responsible for the technical part: the development of the project architecture, Backend, Frontend, the database, the project infrastructure.
Natalia is responsible for analytics, testing, content, interface design. The project is planned as highly loaded with the further development of functionality, so it is better to provide many “chips” in advance: the features of functions must be laid in the project from the very beginning.
- The project will clearly show how different activity the city is full of. You know how many events do not fall into the city poster and how many people cannot find a circle of interest on interests in reality, and not on the network!
The task is inthispoint - so that the interested parties meet. For the organizers of the events, this is an opportunity to attract an audience and simply indifferent. For residents, a convenient tool for finding entertainment, friends, the opportunity to plan a trip or to benefit with free time.
- Imagine, we did not count on victory that time - we just did not think about it. We came to Hakaton to work on our project, chat with smart and purposeful people, and listen to the reports of the speakers.
Such events are charged with inspiration and remind us of what inththispoint is for: so that it is easier for people to join the constructive processes, unite to create something new, to experience the same feelings as us.
Believe me, after that you light up with such an enthusiasm that there will be enough for a few projects!
- Look, now, to find the event, you need to view a bunch of groups on social networks, chop the posters ... And if a person gathered in another city, and he formed a couple of hours? He does not know anything like that there, and planning will take almost more time than these two hours.
And here a site with a map would be very useful, on which all the nearest events are indicated. Our project should just solve this problem when it comes to the user.
After starting the project, go to the Inthyispoint.com website. You can organize meetings and call your friends. You can announce the events directly on the map.
The rest of the users will see a map in front of them and these events on it are as relevant, they will be able to filter activity by tags, by date and location. They can also indicate whether they will go to this event.
- This is even easier than the idea itself. The name “as is”: “at this point” - here and now.
- Initially, the idea seemed useful to us for young users who desperate to find the company of like -minded people and confident that there was nothing in their hometown that could interest them.
Now it is clear that this is only one of the applications of the idea. The idea has expanded to the creation of a simple and powerful tool. We can say that it is created for those who need it.
- It so happened that from social initiatives the creators were far from the “technical” component of our activity. “Physicists” are both, although I, Natalya, are a little “lyricist”.
The idea itself, by and large, arose in connection with difficulties in finding such initiatives “from outside”: we cook in this year, we would not have thought about such a project - so a person does not think about how to breathe.
We strive to participate where we see the problem. This time is the remoteness of like -minded people from each other and from interesting events, although all this can be right now and across the road.
- It would be spectacular to say “tomorrow” or “now”, but there is still time. Now we have launched a trial version of the site www.inthispoint.com , testing mistakes for friends. After a couple of weeks, we will go to a wider audience.
