Russian Media Group has replaced its CEO

The CEO of the Russian Media Group, Sergei Kozhevnikov, was dismissed, his position was taken by Sergei Arkhipov. The corresponding decision was made at an absentee meeting of the company's board of directors. Kozhevnikov did not take part in the meeting. He promised to challenge the decision in court.

In addition to Kozhevnikov, Development Director Mikhail Zotov and Financial Director Yana Ladzhu leave the Russian Media Group on August 10.

• The main shareholder of the Russian Media Group, IFD Kapital, is going to sell the company to the state-owned Gosconcert. Sergei Kozhevnikov, who owns 22 percent of the group's shares, opposes such a decision. He offered to buy out the share of IFD Kapital.
• Based on the radio stations of the Russian Media Group, it is planned to create a patriotic music holding. This idea was put forward by the producer of the Zemlyane group and the founder of the Federation Foundation Vladimir Kiselev, as well as the chairman of the board of directors of the group Olga Plaksina.
• The deal to sell Russian Media Group to the state was approved on August 10 by the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
