The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, demanded that violators of traffic rules pay fines within one hour. If this requirement is not met, the violator's car will be sent to the parking lot. If the offender does not submit a receipt for payment of the fine within 24 hours, his car will be put up for sale.
The head of Chechnya announced new methods of dealing with violators of traffic rules at a meeting with members of the government of the republic, deputies of parliament, heads of districts and settlements, the leadership of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs and the clergy.
“We stated that a driver who deliberately breaks the rules of the road poses the same threat to society as a terrorist. Combating this phenomenon is now becoming a nationwide task,” Kadyrov said.
The investigation of road accidents with human casualties is taken under strict public control. The official, through whose fault the accident occurs, in addition to the liability provided for by law, is punished up to and including dismissal from office. The heads of districts and villages are responsible for the situation on internal roads.
