Judge Chernovsky District Court of Chita Victoria Peregudova sentenced a 21-year-old local resident Alexander Dodonov to one and a half years in a penal colony on charges of attempt to join the “right sector”. It is reported by Kommersant. The defendant was found guilty under part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organization), which provides for up to four years of the colony.

The prosecutor requested for Dodonov 1 year 9 months of a colony-settlement. The defendant himself and his lawyer Ivan Timofeev, according to Vesti, asked for a fine, forced work or a conditional term.

According to the case, Dodonov contacted the social networks with activists of the “Right Sector”, and then called up with them on the phone. According to the plot of the case, Chitinets intended to go to Ukraine to undergo combat training and then go to fight to the east of the country. However, on February 18, operatives of the Trans -Baikal FSB detained him at Chita Airport before flying to Kyiv.

Dodonov was placed under house arrest. At the same time, as can be seen in the plot of "Vesti", it was escorted from the court in handcuffs, although the convict is sent to the colony-settlement independently and no earlier than after the sentence entered into force.

The investigation in the case also led the FSB. Dodonov fully pleaded guilty and went to the pre -trial agreement; His case was considered in a special order.
