
The Investigative Committee opened a case on the fact of insulting a 27-year-old local resident of Oksana Vodianova, suffering from cerebral palsy and autism in the Nizhny Novgorod cafe. This was announced by the head of the press service of the Investigative Department Vladimir Markin. The case is opened under paragraph "A" of part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (humiliation of human dignity on the basis of belonging to a social group with a threat of violence). The maximum sanction on this charges is five years of colony.

On August 11, Oksana was walking with a nanny in Avtozavodsk Park, after which the nanny took her to the Flamingo Street Cafe to relax in the shade from the heat. However, the owner of the cafe roughly demanded from visitors to retire. “You scare away all our customers,” he said. At the same time, in addition to Oksana Vodianova and the nanny, there was only one client, and he asked the staff to leave the girl alone.
The nanny, for her part, asked the owner to wait until the girl rests. He answered with a refusal and called the guards. One of them demanded from the nanny: "Leave, otherwise we will call a psychiatric hospital, an ambulance and we will break you into the basement."
The nanny called her mother her ward. She "knew that Oksana was useless to force something to do something," the sister explained. When the mother arrived in Flamingo, three guards were already standing near Oksana. One of them took Oksana’s mother by the elbow and demanded to leave, threatening to call the police otherwise.
Mother brought a daughter and a nanny from a cafe. At the exit from the park, an outfit of police with machine guns was waiting. Law enforcement officers said: "Stand. Let's go to the department with us. We delay it for petty hooliganism."
