The culprit of the accident, which caused the spill of oil products and the subsequent fire on the Moscow River, became JSC Mostransnefteproduct, a subsidiary of Transneft. This was stated by Deputy Capital Mayor Peter Biryukov, reports TASS.

"According to preliminary data, the culprit is Mostransnefteprodukt JSC and the statement of one of the representatives of Transneft has no justification," Biryukov said. Earlier, Transneft said that the accident occurred at the Mosvodostok manifold, which receive plums from the oil refinery.

The fire on the Moscow River began on Wednesday at about 17:30 near the house 29 on Porechnaya Street.
