The Park of the Peat is located in the Losinoostrovsky district in the northeast of Moscow. Protests against the construction of the church have been continuing on June 18. Two - the mother and her minor daughter - were released, the rest made protocols. Later they were fined 10 thousand rubles each.
Public hearings on the construction of the temple in Torfyanka were carried out with serious violations. The district court recognized the results of the hearings, but the Moscow City Court canceled this decision and sent a lawsuit filed by public activists to revise. However, in the process of preparation for the process, it turned out that a different project was submitted for public hearings than included in the decree of the Moscow government. Thus, the construction turned out to be completely illegal. Social activists recalled the lawsuit. Now the prosecutor's office should prohibit construction. A statement was sent to the Swa -District Department of Internal Affairs with a request to institute criminal proceedings on the fact of forgery of documents of public hearings.
