In Belarus, searches and arrests in the criminal case of protest graffiti were held. According to the human rights center "Vesna" , in the case of five suspects, including a Russian citizen Pavel (the surname is not reported), which is under the recognizance not to leave. The same measure of restraint was chosen by Minkanin Yaroslav Ulyanenkov. Two more suspects were sent to the temporary detention center. The fifth defendant - Vyacheslav Kasinerov - is under the escort in the hospital, he has a double jaw fracture.

All defendants are facing up to 6 years in prison under articles on group hooliganism and vandalism. There are three episodes: applying graffiti in Minsk in Belarusian in May and August of this year, as well as coloring a billboard with social advertising in June. One of the inscriptions read "Belarus Maya Belaruskai" ("Belarus should be Belarusian"), a national ornament, as well as crossed sickle and hammer and swastika, were depicted nearby. On the building of the former military unit, the inscription "Ravalyusia Sevyadomasitsi, Yana ўzho Idze ..." ("Revolution of consciousness, it is already on ...") and the silhouette of a man who throws a bottle with an incendiary mixture were applied. The application of these graffiti is qualified as "intentional actions, accompanied by damage to other people's property, unidentified persons who grossly violated public order and expressed a clear disrespect for society."

A banner on Goretsky Street with the image of policemen was stained with paint - these actions are qualified under the article "The desecration of structures and damage to property."

Searches in the case were held in Minsk on August 11. At least one of the suspects - the 32 -year -old Ulyanenkov - was greatly beaten by masked people before the search. According to him, blows were inflicted on the ribs, face, legs. “I was tilted to the floor, shook me into handcuffs and began to beat my feet on my body, threatened,” said Ulyanenkov. “Then they dragged throughout the apartment, dragged into the room, forced to become facing the wall. They beat the legs so that the legs were far from each other, continued to mock and beat.”

After the searches, the suspects were taken to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where, with a violation of procedural norms, conversations were carried out without a protocol. According to PC "Vesna", none of them gives evidence.
