On the night of August 20, 2014, Pavel Ushivts (known as Grisha Mustang) repainted half of the star on a skyscraper spire on the Kotelnikiye embankment - the star was painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. All year, investigators tried to find evidence of their connection with the Ukrainian ruffer. Investigators conducted an examination of parachutes - on one they found paint, but not the same color. In the correspondence with Rufer, they never consisted. The localization of their mobile phones showed that they were never near Mustang. As a result, at the end of 2014, investigator Dmitry Minov quit the police - the lawyer of one of Beisjampers says that he did not want to sign the indictment “on innocent guys”.
As a result, the case went to another investigator Vyacheslav Krivorotov, and almost six months after the start of the investigation, the necessary evidence appeared in the case. 19-year-old Vladimir Podrezov, who, together with Mustang, rose to the skyscraper and is now sitting in a pre-trial detention center, told the new investigator that Mustang told him that "a little later against the backdrop of a painted star four paratroopers, which he attracted for this action, will make jumping to attract the attention of the public." The same testimony, also six months later, the investigator received from Rufer Kirill Ishutin, a familiar Mustang (he is serving time for drug storage).
The case constantly emphasizes that Mustang put together a group of Beisjampers in order to "destabilize the social situation in the capital of the Russian Federation on the eve of the State Flala of the State Flag of the Russian Federation, as well as offend the feelings of citizens." According to investigators, the reptile of the star is “the desecration of [skyscrapers] and form an opinion on the dominant position of Ukraine in political relations with the Russian Federation.”
