“The Surgeon” demanded that the Hells Angels be recognized as an “undesirable organization”

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation will consider the possibility of including the Hells Angels and Bandidos motorcycle clubs in the list of undesirable organizations. The head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, Andrei Klishas, ​​made such an appeal to Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika at the request of the head of the Night Wolves bike club Alexander Zaldostanov (“Surgeon”), Kommersant reports .

According to Klishas, ​​the Federation Council received an appeal from the Anti-Maidan movement, containing information about the activities of foreign motorcycle clubs. In a statement by Anti-Maidan, led by Zaldostanov, it is noted that these motorcycle clubs are foreign organizations with headquarters in the United States. In addition, their activities are prohibited in several countries of the world, since members of the organization “reject laws in principle,” including in the Russian Federation. According to members of Anti-Maidan, bikers took part in an attack on law enforcement officers on the Maidan in 2014, and now have many branches in different cities of Russia.

“Due to the fact that such a network can be used as a fighting force in the event of a possible “color revolution” inspired from abroad in the Russian Federation similar to the “Maidan”, we ask you to check the information presented and send a corresponding appeal to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation,” — the statement says. The initiative to include motorcycle clubs in the list of undesirable organizations was also supported by other leaders of the Anti-Maidan — Senator Dmitry Sablin, writer Nikolai Starikov, as well as representatives of the Union of Paratroopers and the Union of Artists of Russia.

A representative of the Hells Angels club in an interview with Kommersant stated that the leader of the Night Wolves, Alexander Zaldostanov, provided false information about American motorcycle clubs.

“It’s very bad that the notorious Alexander Zaldostanov is lying again. Moreover, he is trying to use public institutions for his own purposes and distracts people needed by society from serious work: senators, prosecutors,” he said.

Alexander Zaldostanov announced his desire to include some biker clubs in the list of undesirable organizations back in June. Then he did not specify which organizations should be on the patriotic stop list, explaining that “a wave of interest in these assholes will begin,” and the statement will become PR for them.

The law on “undesirable organizations” was adopted in May of this year. According to the law, in agreement with the Russian Foreign Ministry, the authorities will be able to prohibit the activities of “undesirable organizations” on Russian territory. According to the document, the decision to recognize an organization as “undesirable” is made by the Prosecutor General or his deputy. The American National Endowment for Democracy was the first to be included in the register of such organizations.
