“Parnas” with Yashin was restored at the elections in Kostroma, Volkov was chosen as head of headquarters

The Electoral Committee of the Kostroma Region unanimously voted to restore the list of "Parnassus" in the elections to the regional Duma.

The day before, the CEC canceled the decision of the Kostroma electoral committee and sent it to it for review - the opposition filed a complaint with the CEC, as the highest authority. They were convinced that their signatures in Kostroma were illegally rejected: the commission saw corrections where there were none, they incorrectly entered data from signature sheets in order to check them with the FMS for authenticity, and they did not consider any of the 176 objections of the party, rejecting signatures. The CEC agreed with the arguments of Parnassus. At the same time, neither the Novosibirsk headquarters of the Democratic Coalition, nor the Magadan "Parnas", also removed from the elections due to the signature barrier and filed a complaint with the CEC, could not achieve their goal there. The members of the commission heard the candidates from the Magadan list right before the Kostroma case, but the withdrawal from the elections was recognized as legal.

Now the Democratic Coalition will concentrate all its forces on a single campaign - in the Kostroma region.

“The Kremlin’s calculation is obvious: to save face, but to register us in such a way that there is very little time left for agitation and we lose. The Electoral Committee has done everything to put us in unequal conditions with other parties that have been campaigning for a long time,” Yashin continued. Indeed, the party automatically ended up in last place on the ballot, since the draw took place without it. But we can break these calculations. We have enough reason to be optimistic."

Meanwhile, in Novosibirsk, where the headquarters of the Democratic Coalition fought for registration even on a hunger strike, a criminal case was opened against Volkov.
