
On August 24, in the new building of the Museum of Contemporary Art “Garage” in Gorky Park, an exhibition of artist Vadim Zakharov “post -scriptum after RIP will open. Video documentation of exhibitions of modern Moscow artists (1989–2014). "
Vadim Zakharov video archive, on whom he worked over the past 25 years, reflects the development of contemporary art from impressions of Moscow conceptualists and their followers in perestroika years to this day.
In total, the archive includes the documentation of more than 230 personal and group exhibitions, held in 1989-2014 in Russia and abroad: in Paris, Cologne, New York, Rome, Milan and Berlin. In the frames of video chronicle of the faces of the stars of domestic art scenes: Ilya Kabakov, Ivan Chuykov, Viktor Pivovarov, Boris Orlov, Dmitry Prigov and many others.
“The postscript after RIP” is the author’s project of Vadim Zakharov and the first large -scale show of his collection, which now became part of the archive of the Garage Museum. The exhibition is organized by the curator of the archive Sasha Obukhova.
On the first day of the exhibition, the entrance to it will be free.
