Artist Artem Loskutov was summoned for interrogation in a case of falsifying signatures that were collected in Novosibirsk in support of candidates from the Democratic Coalition in the elections to the regional legislative assembly. According to Loskutov, his mother was also called in for questioning.
- The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on falsification of signatures on August 13. The names of his defendants have not yet been announced.
- On August 12, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a case against the chief of staff of the coalition in Novosibirsk, Leonid Volkov. He was suspected of interfering with the work of LifeNews employees.
- Artem Loskutov was in the top three of the list of the "Democratic coalition", the candidates from which were supposed to run from the People's Freedom Party. The electoral committee rejected the collected signatures and did not allow Parnassus before the elections. Loskutov is known as the organizer of the annual procession called "Monstration".
