The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow took into custody a man who opened fire the day before in the Alexander Garden in the city center, reports . RIA Novosti
The head of the press service of the Moscow department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Andrei Galiakberov, explained to the agency that during this period a case of hooliganism against a detainee will be investigated.
On August 18, a 26-year-old man shot into the air with a sawn-off hunting rifle in the Alexander Garden. He was detained by patrol officers. In 2008, the detainee was sentenced to six years for robbery.
As told a law enforcement source Lifenews, the man opened fire to return to prison and check the reaction of the police. According to the source, after the arrest the man thanked the police officers for their quick response and said that he was ready to answer for his actions.
