Protest actions in Sevastopol are allowed to be held only in three places far from the center, according to the order of the city governor Sergei Menyailo. “For the safety of citizens”, specially designated places for holding public events have been appointed: the square near the monument to the Soldier and the Sailor on Cape Khrustalny, “Freedom Square” near the Cultural and Information Center (P. Earlier, the Sevastopol authorities banned a mass rally "against chaotic development" on Nakhimov Square on August 12. The organizers were asked to hold the action far from the city center. Activists are collecting signatures under an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin demanding permission to hold a rally in the center of Sevastopol.
