666 graduates of the DPR entered Russian universities

The authorities of the unrecognized Donetsk Republic reported on the number of graduates who entered Russian universities. This was reported by the Donetsk News Agency .

“Our applicants entered universities of the Russian Federation on the basis of certificates of the Donetsk People’s Republic. A total of 666 people - as of August 1, were received at 11 universities of the Russian Federation, ”said Larisa Polyakova, Minister of Education of the DPR.

Most applicants from the DPR, according to her, were enrolled in the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Southern Federal University and Don State Technical University.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Dmitry Livanov, confirmed that the Russian side is ready to accept documents on education from applicants from the DPR and LPR. The basis for this, according to him, is agreements with Ukraine.

“We have an agreement with Ukraine on the mutual recognition of documents on education, we recognize their certificates, diplomas, and they are ours. Documents of the DPR and LPR will also be recognized on the basis of our agreement with Ukraine. We also recognize the diplomas of these republics, ”the minister said, adding that the level of education in the unrecognized republics of Donbass is comparable to the Russian one.

The DPR government, in turn, announced the intention to "integrate into the educational space of the Russian Federation and other countries of the former Soviet Union."
