It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the artist’s family. On August 7, he was taken to the hospital in serious condition, doctors diagnosed him with severe pneumonia.
Lev Konstantinovich Durov was born in 1931 in Moscow, graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (the course of George Gerasimov and Sergey Blinnikov), in 1954 he became the actor of the Central Children's Theater, then he began to act in films and played more than 200 roles in his life.
In 1963-1967, Lev Durov worked at the Lenin Komsomol Theater, in 1967, after the director Anatoly Efros, he transferred to the Moscow Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya.
Having finished the highest directorial courses under GITIS in 1978, Lev Durov staged in the theater in small Bronnaya performances. In 1996, as a artistic director, he released a course of students at the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio. Until the last days, in parallel with work in his theater, Lev Durov played in the performances of the “School of the Modern Play” with the director Joseph Reichelgauz.
