Early elections to the Greece Parliament will be held on September 20, Reuters reports citing a source in the Greek government.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, Greece Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will make an official statement on early elections later.
On August 14, the Greek parliament approved the conditions of the third program to assist Athens from international creditors. More than 40 deputies from the ruling party "Siriza" refused to adopt the draft law.
After that, information appeared that Tsipras, due to the split in the party, could assign early parliamentary elections.
The third package of Greece assistance involves financing in the amount of € 86 billion. New loans of Athens receive in exchange for reforms and further strengthening of budget savings, which Siriza opposed.
