The fall of the ruble exchange rate in relation to the American currency is accompanied by a decrease in oil prices. Having fallen on Friday to the mark of $ 46, Brent oil has not pierced this level and in the next minutes was traded in the range of 46.00–46.10 dollars per barrel.
The drop in oil prices eighth week in a row experts interviewed by the BBC are explained by an excess of raw materials in the market. The US energy information management data on the increase in raw oil reserves by 2.6 million barrels is affected.
On August 20, a devaluation of the Kazakh currency tenge took place. From this day, the transition to the floating course of the national currency was announced. With the beginning of the bidding, the tenge rate collapsed by 26 percent, after which the exchange points and banks of Kazakhstan suspended the sale of the American currency.
Assistant to the President of Russia Andrei Belousov said that the devaluation of tenge would not have a significant influence on the ruble. The fact that the ruble’s course will not feel the consequences of tenge devaluation, said the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev.
