Nadezhda Savchenko will be tried in the Rostov region

The Rostov Regional Court rejected the petition of the defense of Nadezhda Savchenko to transfer her case to Moscow and left the proceedings in the Donetsk City Court of the Rostov Region. According to the defendant's lawyer, Ilya Novikov, the petition for the consideration of the case in Moscow was dictated by the costs of travel to the Rostov region of the participants in the process. In the event of a guilty verdict, these costs will be borne by Savchenko, Novikov stressed.
