The exchange rate of the Russian ruble in trading on the Moscow Exchange on August 25 rose significantly, fully winning back the losses of the previous day.
The dollar, as of 16:00, costs 68.59 rubles, which is 2.36 rubles less than the day before. For the euro on the stock exchange they give 78.58 rubles. Compared to the closing level of previous trading, the European currency fell by 3.67 rubles.
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation set the dollar exchange rate on August 26 at around 69.95 rubles. The euro officially costs 80 rubles 72 kopecks.
The exchange rate of the ruble is growing against the backdrop of rising oil prices. A barrel of Brent on the ICE exchange in London at 16:15 Moscow time is trading at $44.12, which is 3.2 percent more than the closing level of previous trading.
