Each house-museum has two key figures: a person who is dedicated to a museum, and a person who devotes himself to serving this peculiar cult. The heroines of this series are the keeper of provincial museum houses. They work there not one year, but in some cases - for more than a dozen years. Often this place of work was not their conscious choice, so life developed, but over time, these museums became something more than just work.
Formally, these museum spaces belong to the state, but the real housewives of the houses are the keeper: they are preserving the atmosphere of a once residential building. They are ready to thoroughly and comprehensively talk about the former inhabitants and the life of the past time. Unlike large museum spaces, the distance between people is reduced here, there is a feeling of chamber and intimacy. The person who is dedicated to the museum is revealed to visitors not only as a scientist or artist, but also as a person with his own characteristics, bizarches and interests. The keepers work with great dedication, but they do not do it for the sake of earnings, rather, they simply can’t do it differently. This is not a loud dedication, but such a little monastic in the brightest sense of the word. In the era of endless changes, they retain original places where each new day has the right and should be like the previous one.
