The Basmanny Court of Moscow defended the complaint of Zaur Dadaev, the alleged murder of the murder of the co-chair of the RPR-Parnas Boris Nemtsov, to initiate a case of the application of torture to him. This was reported by RAPSI.
“On March 5, people were detained in masks, did not introduce themselves and tortured for two days and only then brought to Moscow. I ask you to interrogate my colleague who was with me at that moment. I was told that if I say what they want, my friend would go home. I would also be questioned again,” Dadaev said in court.
The prosecutor during the meeting noted that the decision is justified and complies with the law. Dadaev’s lawyer asked the decision to cancel and conduct an objective audit on the fact of torture of his client.
Nemtsov was shot dead late in the evening of February 27 on the Big Moskvoretsky Bridge. A week later, on suspicion of involvement in the murder , five natives of Chechnya - Dadaev, Khamzat Bakhaev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, Shadid and Anzor Gubashevs were arrested . The sixth suspect, also a Chechen, is alleged, committed suicide during the detention.
Dadaev gave a confession. However, the alleged killer later abandoned them, saying that he made a recognition under torture. In addition, two other accused - Eskerkhanov and Anzor Gubashev announced the torture applied to them .
On May 20, Kommersant said that the new head of the investigative group in the case of the murder of Nemtsov Major General of Justice Nikolai Tutichevich sent a video of the confession testimony of Dadaev for an examination . The Ministry of Justice experts had to establish whether the participants in the interrogation of the psychological impact on Dadaev had and whether he received threats from them. The question was also raised whether he had confused and stress, admitting to the crime. FSB experts must determine whether Dadaev spoke in his own words, or his performance could be prepared in advance by the participants in the investigation.
The investigator of the Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee, Alexei Stadnikov, began to verify the applications of the accused . However, on May 27, the TFR refused Dadaev to initiate torture . On June 18, a similar decision was made at the statement of Eskerkhanov. At the same time, the herds did not consider it necessary to attract the accused under part 2 of Article 306 of the Criminal Code (a knowingly false denunciation with a serious crime). As stated in the decision, the accused of torture is a form of protection. Lawyers said that the audit was carried out formally.
On Tuesday, the Moscow Basmanny Court extended for three months the term of arrest to all the accused. Earlier, the investigation of the case was extended until November 28.
