Police threaten defenders of Friendship Park with arrests

In Friendship Park, where residents oppose the construction of a commercial sports facility, the police are expelling citizens and threatening to arrest them. As municipal deputy Nadezhda Barynina told OVD-Info, the police are demanding that the tents be removed. Meanwhile, the paths in the park are cordoned off due to the fact that earlier the police allegedly received a message about a bomb planted in the park , and activists cannot move tents and belongings anywhere. The head of the Levoberezhny police department, Sergei Stepanov, threatens that if the activists do not remove their belongings, they will be detained. A car with riot police officers had already arrived at the scene.

Earlier, after the park was cordoned off, activist Mikhail Barbotkin was detained, and a report was drawn up against him for disobeying the legal demands of police officers.
