Milonov proposes to create a patriotic children's organization

The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vitaly Milonov appealed to the government with a proposal to create a patriotic organization for children, Izvestia write . According to Milonov’s plan, an entry into an organization called “Dobrodel” or “Union of St. George” will be mandatory for children after a kindergarten.

Members of the All -Russian organization will have to deal with public work, as well as attend patriotic circles and lectures on the history of Russia. The symbols of the youthful structure will be the image of George the Victorious and St. George's ribbons.

“It is the youth, as a rule, is in the crossroads of ideological weapons, that becomes a victim of the decaying Western propaganda,” the deputy said.

In his opinion, all children should be in the ranks of Dobrodeli, regardless of the social status. "The emasculated immoral, let and a qualitative education do not guarantee the upbringing of a person as a patriot and personality," says Milonov. According to him, "the participation of the state in the spiritual and moral formation of a person should be tangible."

Milonov recalled that the “noticeable successes” in the moral education of children and adolescents were made by a pioneer organization and the Komsomol, but he noted that the state -owned children and youth organization is not the invention of the USSR.

“Even before 1917, a network of the scout movement operated on the territory of the Russian Empire, which taught children to be useful to the country and respect their history. However, it was during the USSR thanks to the selfless work of thousands of teachers under the leadership of the state of children's and youthful movement that became permissible and truly effective,” said Milonov.
