Two Putin pedals

In 2007, a video appeared on the Internet, entitled "Execution of Tajik and Dagestan." Two people with hands tied behind their backs are imprinted against the background of a red flag with a swastika. One of them with a knife is cut off the head, the other is killed by a shot from a pistol. The exclamation "Glory of Russia!" Sounds. One of the dead is Shamil Odamanov, who had left for Moscow to work from Dagestan, the second has not yet been identified. The killers were not found. The Israeli director Vladimir Antonevich, who served in the Duvdevan special forces, investigated this crime on his own initiative for five years. Preshing himself as a representative of the American radical nationalist organization, Antonevich penetrated the combat training camps of Russian neo -Nazis, he met with their leaders more than once and came to the conclusion that the Russian special services were standing for numerous murders of immigrants from the Caucasus and on the eve of the presidential election in March 2008.

About his documentary "Credit for the Murder" Vladimir Antonovich told Radio Liberty:

- I finished the film school in Jerusalem exactly in the year when this video came out. First, I came across the reaction of the children, the children posted their reactions to this video on the Internet. They just shot themselves, while they watch this video. According to the reactions, it was clear that there was something terrible, despite the fact that the Investigative Committee claimed that the video was fictitious. It was very interested in it. Because children feel better than adults, when they slip some kind of lip, especially in a digital space. And there was no getting along. I looked at this video. Of course, it was a real murder. In addition to the fact that it was a real murder, I am not sure that they could fake it even in Hollywood, because it is decapitating on a closed frame in fact, close. I'm not sure that the Nazis will find a budget for such a film industry. It was interesting why the Investigative Committee claims that this real murder is fictitious? You understand, it was before the events in Ukraine! Now, of course, this is ridiculous after the "crucified boy" and all these propaganda stories. And then I still did not understand what was happening in Russia. I looked and realized that the video is real. And I decided to investigate it. So there was an idea to make this film.

- How did you shoot your film?

It is difficult for foreigners to understand how it is generally possible that in Russia there are neo -Nazis

- Of course, I did not actually know anything, so I had to meet, cover all this radical bomond, just talk to all the leaders of nationalist organizations. I met with Alexander Barkashov, and with the deputy Alexander Barkashov, and now with the deceased Professor Peter Khomyakov, who was arrested and died in prison, with Dmitry Demushkin, Dmitry Rumyantsev. I met with a huge number of people, but, of course, not all of them got into the film, because there was no place to accommodate them all. And it was not necessary, because in the end only three or four people were needed. It just needed time to understand what and why, in which direction it should be pulled, what is called in English called Pile of Suspects-the "basket of the suspects." I could put eight people into this basket, but there is nothing to do there eight people, there the viewer will not be able to track. In the end, there were only three people in this basket. The film is still very difficult to understand, especially for foreigners who do not understand what is happening in Russia. Because it is very difficult for people to understand in general what neo -Nazis do in Russia and how is it possible that there are neo -Nazis in Russia.

- It is impossible to imagine that the Russian neo -Nazis allowed the Israeli film -domestic militaryist not only to remove the camps of their combat training, but also to participate in joint combat training. Yes, and the leaders of neo -Nazi groups are anti -Semitic. He would hardly agree to give an interview for Israeli television or documentary. Who did you imagine so that you do it?

Young people kill Tajiks, and no one will investigate their crimes. Never

- Filming was conducted for almost five years. From the very beginning, I did not stipulate the fact that I am from Israel, I introduced myself as an American who came from a radical extremist organization, almost from Ku-Klux Clan. He simply came to illuminate the activity of ultraradic groups in Russia on the neutral side. The project was called "25 years of the new Russia" (laughs) . The chip was that in order to convince people to act in this film, it was necessary to make the appearance of such a respectable project that would not present the leaders of the radical movement in Russia in the form of idiots. You shoot Barkashov, other leaders also begin to show interest in you. People are pulling up because they see that these have starred. They think: "The film is being shot about the leaders of the national movement, but what about without me?" And everyone is pulled slowly. That is, in the end, they no longer had to convince them to do this, they themselves glued.

-You met with neo-Nazis from the format-18 groups, the National Socialist Party of Rus', the Slavic Union. These groups are quite known. Did you manage to contact with unknown groups? Is it not a very pleasant test?

- Certainly. There are a lot of such unknown, but they are on the relative periphery. Yes, young people kill Tajiks, and no one will investigate their crimes. Never. My friend says: “What are you chasing some kind of ghost? They killed, they buried somewhere. What are you chasing? The person is sitting in front of you and explains to the camera that he is killing people. Here he specifically explains to you that he is killing people. Take it all, go to the police. What are you chasing some murder that was three hundred years ago? And there were a lot of such moments. Both moral problems and ethical problems. The film is very complicated. Documentary cinema is such a balance between ethics and aesthetics. Where you are on this scale, you must determine for yourself. This is not easy, it is completely difficult.

-The result of your film-investigation was the conclusion that the number of murders of immigrants from the Caucasus and Central Asia committed by neo-Nazis increased sharply by March 2008, just before the presidential election in Russia. The famous nationalist Dmitry Demushkin tells you on the camera that the authorities, who seemed to say: “You don’t want people like these killers in power, so go and vote for us, for United Russia.” Are you convinced that the Russian special services are related to these killings?

- For five years that I got into this swamp, I had to find out. I do not want to use the word "investigation", but without it - nothing. Again, all this may seem unreal, especially for the European. But the people who live in Russia, my friends or even the nationalists with whom I talked, they talked about this quite openly constantly. In the first conversation, Dmitry Demushkin says: "This is probably our special services." I have this moment in the film. At first, you somehow pass by your ears: "Listen, are you going crazy, or something, all?" But then it passes for some time, and you realize that you were mistaken, they were right. You feel like Alice in the world of miracles, because so many strange and terrible "miracles" open up. I have no doubt about this at all. I think that after the story with the " combat organizations of Russian nationalists ", "born", too, no doubt should have any no one. This should cause a lot of questions, but no doubt.

- The annexation of Crimea and the events in Ukraine made radical changes to the political situation in Russia. For example, I did not expect that the Limon Party “Another Russia”, in which national-patriotic sentiments were strong, would support Putin and send his volunteers to the Donbass. In theory, all neo -Nazis would have to go there as well and fight on the side of the so -called DPR and LPR. Even if you turn to statistics, in Russia recently the number of attacks on immigrants from the Caucasus and Central Asia has decreased. Agree with this?

- No, I don't think so. Moreover, there are many thinking people in the national movement, most of these people do not support the annexation of Crimea. How much Dmitry Demushkin spoke about this! I know that his wing does not at all support the annexation of Crimea. Let's agree that Dmitry Demushkin is a rather solid segment of the national movement. And he never supported the annexation, despite the fact that he was crushed. I know that people who belong to the "Slavic Union" fought both on the Russian and Ukrainian side. There was even a moment that I know, where the two boys who were friends with each other were in the "Slavic Union", they simply shot each other, not knowing about it. The moment that you need to shoot about. I do not think that the number of murders on national grounds was sleeping precisely because of the annexation of Crimea, I believe that they simply removed the leg from the pedal that kills migrant workers, and now pressed the pedal, which catch the Nazis. Because for Europe, for the whole world, Russia wants to prove that the Nazis in Ukraine, but in Russia they are not, in Russia they are planted. Look: we arrested Alexander Belov, Dmitry Demushkin is pressed, we burst into the house with a search. They gathered there, we grabbed them again. We planted Maxim Martsinkevich, nicknamed "Tesac", here Peter Khomyakov died in prison. This is all another pedal. In 2007-2008, one pedal was needed, they pressed it, then they removed the leg, pressed the other pedal. Times are changing, they adapt accordingly. They don’t need Natsiki now, now these murders are not needed. I can say about the people with whom I communicate, I know that they are now on tiptoe. The lawlessness that they could allow in 2006-2007 and in the first half of 2008, they cannot afford to themselves now. Nationalists even talk as they talked openly with me in the film, now they will not, they do not need it. They are afraid, they know that they can knock on them. Just another pedal, so it all subsided. This is indirectly related to Ukraine, but this is not because these guys went there. Allegedly, "all the crazy people left for Ukraine to fight, and we have everything to go astray." No, this is not because of this. Just another pedal.

- What are your thoughts about the future of Russia, what awaits it?

It is clear to everyone that everything will explode is only a matter of time

- The country went into a corkscrew. The pilot closed the cabin and does not let anyone go there. History with an airplane, only on a global scale. A lot of people will die from behind the pilot. The Russian people are patient, but when time comes to a certain point, everything will explode. It is clear to everyone that everything will explode is only a matter of time. History does not tolerate this. As I see this, something should still happen. I hope that as little blood can spill, I do not know what will happen, but this cannot continue. You cannot rob the people and consider all people by cattle. 86% for Putin. Well, yes, all dictators had 90% a week before their death. The higher the percentage of support, the sooner it will begin. The situation is bad, it could not be otherwise, because if you rinse the brains for people for 15 years, then, of course, such a situation will arise. I am not a politician, I am not a political scientist, I can only look from the outside and try to explain what is happening for myself. Bad things are happening. I left the metro in Moscow, and cut Tajik. I did not see who did this because I arrived in time for him, he was already twisted, his blood flowed, I lifted him upstairs. You know, everyone did not care, all people passed by, did not even pay attention. I know that they saw him, they all saw perfectly, because he writhed in pain, he had blood, everything was flooded with blood, but no one came up. And this is the worst. Who will climb into the barricades? People will not climb. This is a significant difference between Israeli society, which has his own illness, of course. But here I know for sure that there are people who are ready to climb into the barricades. I know such people, because I myself am so, my friends are like that, my society is all that. There is some kind of segment to which everything is indifferent, but most are still different, because everything was in the army and so on. It hurt me the most when I saw that normal people do not stop, no one wants to help. Who is this person to help him? This hurts the most, this indicates where the society is directed. Because until it personally hit you, personally your wallet, personally your apartment, not your neighbor you fill up, but personally you, then this does not concern you. And this is a very bad psychotype, it is a suicide psychotype. Because they will begin with those, but ultimately knock on you. How many times has this happened in history? How many times can you go through the same lesson? And how many times it happened in Russia? How much can one and the same? This is the same lesson, just other teachers teach us. The same thing is every time: "After all, you will be knocked on to you!" - "No, they will not knock. No, it cannot be, there will be nothing with us!" - "Kursk! And what, patriots, where are you?" - "Come on". - "The villages were mourned, where are you patriots?" - "Oh well." This is every time. Ultimately there will be a revolution. I hope she will be bloodless.
