The corresponding recommendation was sent today, on August 31, in Russian Railways, following a meeting of the city interdepartmental commission on the name of territorial units, streets, Moscow metro stations, Kommersant reports with reference to the head of the commission, deputy mayor for social development Leonid Pekatnikov.
He also said that the construction station of the Moscow Ring Railway is planned to call Koptevo. “I really hope, and we have reason to hope that Russian Railways will have no objections,” the deputy mayor added. When Russian Railways agrees to rename the transport hub, the commission will finally solve the issue with the metro station . The next meeting of the commission should take place in September.
At the same time, it was decided to leave the current name for the Voikovsky district of Moscow, since its renaming will entail additional expenses. Voikovsky driveways will not be renamed - local residents object to this, the printer explained.
In addition, he said that today the commission decided to name the square on the corner of Spiridonyevsky and Bolshoi Kozikhinsky Lane at the patriarchal ponds by the name of Mikhail Bulgakov.
