After the first speech, Kobzon called on politicians and cultural figures not to be afraid of sanctions from the West. “I would generally urge not to pay attention to it,” he said. He also suggested "respond symmetrically."

During the concert of Kobzon, the Order of Miner Valor was awarded. The same Order was received by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko.
During the second performance, the artist called for "supporting the militias" and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome to the head of the unrecognized Republic of Zakharchenko. “He constantly thinks about you and serves Donbass,” Kobzon said.
On February 16, Kobzon was included in the sanctions list of the European Union . Personal sanctions against the singer were imposed by Canada and Norway. However, on August 28, Kobzon said that in September he would go to Europe to continue treatment . According to the singer, President Vladimir Putin helped him to get a medical visa.
