What did we learn about the co -founder of the Federation Fund Vladimir Kiselev from the air on Rain

On August 31, the debate took place on the air of the Rain television channel between one of the founders of the Federation Fund Vladimir Kiselev and the former general director of the Russian Media Group (RMG) Sergei Kozhevnikov. They concerned the possible sale of the RMG “Goskoncert”, against which Kozhevnikov and some artists himself opposed. The discussion itself was not the most interesting on the air: thanks to the debate, it became possible to learn more about Vladimir Kiselev, an extremely closed businessman and producer, who intends to create a “patriotic media holding” in the country and whom many consider to be a friend of Vladimir Putin. "Medusa" collected everything new that became known about Vladimir Kiselev from the debate on the "rain".

Brief background. The Russian Media Group is one of the largest radio holdings in Russia. Its main asset is the Russian Radio. 78% of the RMG through the Capital IFD belongs to the shareholders of Lukoil Leonid Fedun and Vagit Alekperov, the rest is Sergey Kozhevnikov. Recently, the media reported a possible transaction for the sale of part of the RMG shares to the state enterprise Goskoncert. Sergey Kozhevnikov and some artists performing at the Russian Radio opposed this. The radio station was at the same time accused of corruption: allegedly she takes money from artists for the air. The story has not yet ended - Kozhevnikov was removed from the post of general director, but he remains a shareholder of the RMG.

The obscure status of Kiselev. The co -founder of the “Federation” and the former head of the Kremlin unitary enterprise (engaged in organizing events in the field of culture) said that he had no legal attitude to the history of the “Russian media group”. Formally, he does not occupy any position in the "Goskoncert". This allowed Kiselev to answer any question that he is only an interested listener who does not take part in the negotiations. At the same time, the producer many times hinted that he was still standing for a possible deal, and sometimes he spoke directly about it. So, when it came to the value of the RMG, he said: "The price is determined not only by us." He also hinted that he knew something that everyone would know about tomorrow, and showed the internal documents of the RMG (Kozhevnikov did not confirm their authenticity, but did not deny) that he got “from friends”. In general, his awareness in the issue shows a clear interest in the transaction, although formally he has nothing to do with it.

Kiselev evades answers. The main line of Kiselev’s attack in the debate was built on reproaches of opponents in inaccuracies or conscious lies. At the same time, he himself almost always left direct answers, only hinting at some circumstances known to him (and unknown to the public). To the direct question of the leading broadcast, Ksenia Sobchak about how long Kiselev met with Vladimir Putin, he replied that the last time they saw at home at Ksenia Sobchak (apparently, even when her father was alive, that is, until 2000). Kiselev added that it was the last time he remembered. Later he uttered a mysterious phrase: "With whom I need, I will always find an opportunity to meet."

It is unpleasant to conduct a discussion with Kiselev. Kiselev speaks calmly, without raising his voice, while he does not miss the opportunity to humiliate the opponent. He never called Sergei Kozhevnikov by name, defiantly using the word “master” (for example, in the expressions “the master begins to understand”). In the course of the air, Kiselev repeated twice about the co -founder of the “Russian Radio” that he “does not know two notes”, called him “Baby Wanga” and accused him “dousing with slopes” Vagit Alekperov and Leonid Fedun. To the question of Kozhevnikov about where Kiselev got the documents of the RMG, he replied: "From a camel."

Kiselev is a person who receives “orders” from power. According to Kiselev, patriotism is when the Motherland asks to get up and go. As an example, he cited the “order” to the artists to be in Crimea during the preparation of a referendum. According to the producer, the artists agreed to fulfill the “order”, for which the homeland rewarded them with relevant insignia, while many artists speaking at the Russian Radio did not go to Crimea under various pretexts. True, how exactly Kiselev is connected with the implementation of this kind of “orders”, it is incomprehensible: he himself was not in Crimea in March 2014, but, apparently, he organized a trip to the territory of the then other state without the consent of the Ukrainian authorities.

Kiselev’s ideas about how the media are arranged, are outdated. The co -founder of the Federation Foundation was perplexed why the letter of musicians to Vladimir Putin with a request to prevent the sale of RMG, published on the Internet, caused a greater resonance than a letter posted by the State Committee for Tassa and RIA News. He called the artists a letter “Pisals on the Internet”, and about TASS said that this is a “state body”.
