The builders of the Vostochny Cosmodrome could not connect the starting and technical complexes to power supply on an ongoing basis in time, a source in the space industry told Interfax .

“It was planned that on September 1, power supply will work on an ongoing basis. However, this has not yet happened. Temporary schemes are used. And this means it is impossible to work with equipment, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.

As the source of Interfax noted, according to the plan on September 15, a connection is assigned at the sewage and water supply cosmodrome. “Unfortunately, there are great doubts that this will be done on time,” he concluded.

The press service of the special construction on August 25 announced that an energy with a capacity of 110 kilowatts was supplied to the lowering station, work is underway to connect the cosmodrome under full load. The special construction promised that the cosmodrome would be completely connected to electricity in the near future.

At the same time, in June, the operating center of ground-based space infrastructure reported that the builders managed to complete the installation of the Union-2 launch vehicle for a month earlier than the intended to complete the installation of the launching system, which was assigned for December 2015. It is planned that the missile will be delivered to the Amur Region from Samara in 21 days.

In the spring, the builders of the cosmodrome several times announced a hunger strike due to delays in the salary, the total debt was estimated at 150 million rubles. Several criminal cases were instituted, one of the contractors was declared bankrupt.
