According to the singer’s official website , he will execute the part of the Count of the Luna in Trubadur Verdi. In the same production, Anna Netrebko will act as Leonora. Premiere performances will be held on September 25 and 29, as well as October 3.
In June, the Russian baritone unexpectedly abolished the performance in the Vienna opera. It was soon announced that the singer was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and he will have to undergo a course of treatment. All the concerts of Hvorostovsky until the end of summer were canceled.
