The Federal Customs Service may be abolished. This was announced on Wednesday evening by RBC with reference to sources in the government. In this case, the fiscal functions of the department will be transferred to the Federal Tax Service, and the power - the FSB.

After the approval of the main provisions of the reform, personnel decisions are expected. According to the sources of the publication, by the end of the year the head of the FCS Andrei Belleninov can be dismissed. This issue is discussed both in the White House and in the Kremlin.

Belyaninov himself, RBC interlocutors note, also wants to leave his post. It is alleged that after resignation from the FCS, he can receive a position in the Eurasian Economic Commission, but this has not yet been finalized.

The government has been discussing the possibility of abolition of the FCS for several years, noted one of the interlocutors of the publication, but recently it was about the merger of this structure with the Federal Tax Service. The transfer of part of the functions of the department to Lubyanka was not previously considered.
