
The SBU neutralized a group of four, which prepared terrorist attacks in Kyiv. This was reported on the website of the special services. The leader of the group was a native of the Sakhalin region of Russia, participants were residents of Kyiv and the region. It is claimed that all of them were in a certain pro -Russian public organization, the name of which the security forces did not specify.
The terrorists were detained with a vibal -shaped in the Obolonsky district in the north of the Ukrainian capital, when they were preparing to blow up the volunteer assistance point for ATO fighters. It is noted that this item is located on the ground floor of a residential high -rise building.
Earlier on Thursday, the 112 Ukrainian TV channel reported that the incident occurred at about 3:30 in the morning. At the same time, journalists stated that the terrorists were detained not at the collection of assistance, but at the office of the Right Sector.
During the detention, the SBU says, the terrorists resisted, blowing up the RGD-5 grenade. In response, the security forces opened fire, injuring one of the criminals in the leg.
During the inspection of the detainees, items were discovered, which, as the message say, "could be used to commit terrorist attacks in the capital." In the photo and video from the scene published by the security forces, there are, in particular, a pistol and a knife.
As noted, the criminals turned off the mobile phones before the attack, and used radio for communication. In addition, they put fake rooms on their car. The terrorists had a backpack with camouflage, karemats and a supply of food. This, explains the SBU, the criminals prepared in case the transition to an illegal position. At the same time, the leader of the group, according to the special services, immediately after the attack was supposed to leave for Crimea occupied by Russia.
The Main Investigative Department of the SBU opened the case under part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (a terrorist attack committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), which provides for from 7 to 12 years of the colony.
